Papelera de Reciclaje
about my literary taste and work
This is my literary project. It is an excercise in which I test my ideas for stories and try to play with ideas and language. I’m currently mostly doing speculative fiction and science fiction whenever I sit down. I’m very interested in how our imagination about technology and the future is shaped by culture, for instance, latinamerican culture. I also do little literary essays that I tag as “non-essays”, since I once read a literary essay and I don’t think I can reach that level of beauty and such an interesting topic development.
3 works that define me:
- “Las ruinas circulares” by Jose Luis Borges
- “Profession” by Isaac Asimov
- “Insignia” by Julio Ramón Ribeyro
Sci-Fi works that I do think about a lot:
- “Los cuerpos del verano” by Martín Felipe Castagnet
- “Babel-17” by Samuel R. Delany
- “Cyborg Manifesto” by Donna Haraway
- “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Phillip K. Dick
- “Martian Chronicles” by Ray Bradbury
I’m not updating this page as regularly, since this should work as a presentation and that’s it. I would recommend to just visit my blog here.
